News & Bio
Chris Keylock
Williams, NWS was raised on the Oregon coast in Otter Rock, Newport
and Coos Bay. Both she and her husband Jim graduated from Marshfield
High School in Coos Bay and Oregon State University in Corvallis. They
have three married children (all Beaver grads) and eight wonderful grandchildren.
Chris is an avid gardener and loves to kayak, travel, read, relax in
Sunriver and spend time with her family.
EDUCATION
1966 B.
S. Degree, Oregon State University, Education Major and Art Minor
1967 San Francisco State University... sculpture and intaglio
printing
1967-70 European travel and study while living in England
1970-82 Continuous education in several art mediums including
batik, pottery, serigraphy, etc.
1977-2008 Continuous study in watercolor including classes (1980-81-82)
at Southern Oregon State College in Ashland and at Loma Linda University
in Riverside, CA (1984). Studied with Millard Sheets, Rex Brandt, Milford
Zornes, Gerald Brommer, Jeanne Dobie, Morris Shubin, Judi Betts, Frank
Webb, Robert Wood and Serge Hollerbach.
1966-2010 Travel experiences and art study including Egypt, Kenya,
Japan, Thailand, Europe, Mexico, S. Africa, Scandinavia, Palau, Greece,
Belize, Fiji, India, New Zealand, Turkey, Croatia, Singapore, Cook Islands,
Jamaica, Panama, Columbia, Antarctica, Timbuktu.
